After the City of Azle installed a "locked" water meter box I asked for a "key" so I could open it in case of an emergency. I was told to install a manually operated, in-line ball valve covered by a standard sprinkler housing box for access if I wanted the ability to shut off my water anytime I wanted to. With so many products being controlled by way of the Internet these days, I decided to develop the Water Handler System. After installation my “system” would allow anyone in my household to turn Off or turn On the flow of water by way of an installed APP on their Smart Phone (Android or Apple). I
also realized that not everyone has a cell phone or Internet access so I gave the system's Smart Control Box a push button switch that with one push will cycle the water OFF or ON... even young children can be taught to push this button !
Having a Water Handler APP on my Smart Phone means that I can quickly and easily turn OFF my water while in my car each time I leave my home then turn it back On when I return… just like using my remote controlled garage door opener ! Knowing that my water is turned OFF when I am not at home gives me great peace-of-mind.
